DreamWorks Animation SKG and Energizer teamed up to promote the theatrical release of MONSTERS vs. ALIENS with a sweepstakes and giveaway. Contestants could enter the sweepstakes online at www.energizer.com/monstersvsaliens. Contestants could enter a maximum of once per day during the promotional period. One Grand Prize winner received a 7-day trip for four to the winner''s choice destination of either New York, Miami, San Francisco or Washington, D.C. The giveaway consists of one of 3 push n'' play toys featuring characters from MONSTERS VS. ALIENS with the purchase of specially marked Energizer MAX AA-8 batteries. The promotion was supported by a micro site that hosted a trailer for the film as well as an online game that centered around players helping the the Energizer bunny protect 4 cities from Alien robots. The promotion began March 2 and ran through June 1, 2009.
