Walt Disney Studios partnered with American Online (AOL) as well as ten other brands to promote its live-action film NATIONAL TREASURE, in theaters Nov. 19. With an estimated $160 million marketing effort, this was the largest in-house campaign for a Disney live-action film. Among various promotions, American Online launched a ten-minute extended preview on Oct. 19 to promote the film. This exclusive online event was hosted on AOL service and AOL Web properties such as AOL Welcome Screen, the AOL.com site, AOL Instant Messenger, America Online`s stand-alone services for teens and kids, the Moviefone, Netscape, AOL CityGuide, AOL Entertainment, AOL Music and Video networks Web sites.
