Walt Disney Studios partnered with American Airlines for Disney`s upcoming 3D animated comedy adventure, PLANES. The film featured a character known as Tripp that sported the American Airlines logo and the red, white, and blue tail, inspired by American Airline`s newest fleet, 777-300ER. On June 26th, 2013, American Airlines and Walt Disney Studios came together to surprise LAX customers with giveaways and special guest appearance by the film`s director, Klay Hall, and actor Carlos Alazraqui who plays the racer, El Chupacabra (El Chu) in the movie. In addition to this surprise, LAX customers were given a special premiered trailer of PLANES as well as a new animated commercial directed by Hall for American Airline`s customers.
