Lionsgate Entertainment partnered with the Robinhood investment app to build anticipation for the theatrical release of ROBIN HOOD. The promotion took the form of a crypto scavenger hunt at the San Diego Comic-Con entitled "Crypto Power To The People. "
Attendees searched the event for coins redeemable for $50, $500, $1,000, or $5,000, which they could use to invest in cryptocurrencies like bitcoin or ethereum using Robinhood, the popular trading app with a modernized layout aimed at younger investors. The scavenger hunt took place over a three day period, July 19-21 2018.
