Murray joined Premiere Radio Networks in 2009 works on the progamming side and is responsible for talent/brand integrated marketing and promotions for their entertainment, multi-cultural and sports nationally syndicated programs including After MidNite with Granger Smith, Crook & Chase Country Countdown, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, American Top 40, Delilah, On with Mario Lopez, Bobby Bones Show, Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Steve Harvey Morning Show, The Breakfast Club and Fox Sports Radio programs.
Previously, Murray was responsible for all marketing and membership for the Country Music Association. He developed and launched a sponsorship platform for CMA; was responsible for educating corporate America and "Hollywood" on the benefits of using Country Music in ad campaigns; developed the America's Sold On Country Tour in conjunction with BrandWeek and the Marketing with Country Music Seminar partnering with Ad Age. He has presented seminars in Canada and Australia.
Murray's CMA marketing team worked with the City of New York to develop and implement all of the events and promotions surrounding the 2005 CMA Awards in New York City - the first and only time the CMA's have been held outside of Nashville. He created the New From Nashville Tour, bringing artists to Europe for showcases and a media tour in London, Glasgow and Dublin. Murray also oversaw all off- air promotions and marketing for the CMA Awards and the CMA Music Festival/Fan Fair. He was instrumental with television promotions including NBC Daytime Stars at the CMA Music Festival and two of Wheel of Fortune's Country Stars Weeks.
Murray has served as Chair of the Promotion Marketing Association's board of directors and served on the boards of the International Entertainment Buyers Association and the T.J. Martell Foundation raising money for cancer research. In 2007 Murray received the Leonard T. Rambeau award from the Canadian Country Music Association for his outstanding work promoting Country Music globally. Murray is a graduate of Bradley University (Bachelors and Masters degrees) and is a published author, speaker and expert on strategic marketing, Country Music and entertainment marketing.
