Description

The British three-piece, New Hope Club, are quickly becoming one of the hottest emerging bands coming out of the UK. Over the past 18 months they have released several buzz-worthy tracks, posted impressive covers of their favorite artists and toured relentlessly around the world.

The guys – Blake Richardson, Reece Bibby and George Smith – met in a somewhat modern-day conventional way. George, now 20, first picked up a guitar nine years ago when he stumbled on his father’s old electric; he taught himself Beatles classics before learning how to write original songs and performing in pubs while still a teenager. By the age of 15, he was already playing around 160 gigs a year. He then caught the attention of Prestige Management (The Vamps, McFly) after posting videos of himself covering hit songs on YouTube. The idea of George starting a band was raised, so he began trawling the internet – the same way he’d been discovered – looking for prospective bandmates. He found Blake and together they stumbled on Reece and knew instantly that he was the final piece of the puzzle.

While the trio write and produce music together, they’ve also brought some of the world’s most successful songwriters into the mix, from Red Triangle and Mac & Phil to hit-maker Amy Wadge who has written for everyone from Ed Sheeran to John Legend.

But, it’s the live shows where the band have really come into their own over the last few years. First cutting their teeth in arenas supporting label-mates The Vamps and Sabrina Carpenter to embarking on their first headline world tour in 2019 selling out shows across the globe – North America, South East Asia, Europe and UK; from Los Angeles to New York, to Seoul, Tokyo and London.

With arena shows, a loyal fanbase, and a cluster of singles under their belts, New Hope Club are ready to usher in a new decade with the release of their self-titled debut album on February 14th, 2020.
