The ACADEMY AWARDS partnered with JCPenney to promote the annual awards. The "Biggest Star Sweepstakes" awarded one grand prize winner a trip to the 2006 Academy Awards red carpet ceremony. JCPenney shoppers got numbered cards in-store through February 27, 2005. The winning number was announced during a JCPenney spot on the night of the broadcast. The winner was also posted on the store`s website. In addition, game pieces carried a scratch-off instant-win message that awarded 210 $500 gift cards and 7,500 $20 gift cards.
