Description:
Lionsgate and Starbucks Coffee partnered to promote the theatrical release of AKEELAH AND THE BEE. Through a marketing campaign, Starbuucks engaged their customers in the U.S. and Canada by introducing the campaign to them. In early April, Starbucks launched an in-store promotion to allow millions of Starbucks customers to experience the movie. Starbucks multi-dimensional marketing support included opportunities for sneak previews for its customers and a Wi-Fi network promotion. Starbucks also utilized its relationship with XM Satellite Radio to offer special programming on Hear Music(TM) Channel 75 on XM Satellite Radio. Beginning April 4, 2006, Starbucks will began carrying the AKEELAH AND THE BEE soundtrack and carried the DVD when it was available later in 2006.
