20th Century Fox Television and Cingular Wireless partnered to offer exclusive wireless access to AMERICAN IDOL for Cingular Wireless customers. Cingular Wireless customers were able to go to the Cingular website and sign up to be in a sweepstakes to win $50,000 cash or a trip to the AMERICAN IDOL Finale in L.A. Once they entered, every text message they sent equaled another chance to win. Customers were also able to sign up for AMERICAN IDOL trivia, AMERICAN IDOL updates, and reminders of each contestants vote number sent to their Cingular Wireless phone via text messages. The offer ended May 31, 2005.
