Description:

Nintendo partnered with Hellmann's Canada on an in-game promotion in ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZON.

The partnership consisted of Hellmann's creating a virtual island in ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS that encouraged gamers to convert digital food waste into real-world donations to charity.

ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS players could send a direct message to Hellmann's Canada's Twitter account to get a code that gave them access to this virtual island.

When gamers are on Hellmann's Island, they can drop off digital food that has spoiled and, in exchange, Hellmann's aimed to provide 25,000 meals to communities in need through the Second Harvest food bank.
