Description:

Discovery Communications partnered with Wendy`s and featured ANIMAL PLANET toys in their kid`s meals. The toys were designed to bring "the adventurous essense of the brand to life" and each kid`s meal toy featured one of five animals with an AR overlay--a dog, cat, parakeet, chameleon, or fish. Discovery Communications and Wendy`s also created an augmented reality experience that featured the same pets and allowed kids to play games from a desktop, as well as a mobile device. Each game was different among the five pets and incorporated the animal`s natural play patterns. Lastly, in addition to the ANIMAL PLANET premiums, Wendy`s distributed coupons for a special offer on ANIMAL PLANET products, available at Toys `R` Us. The campaign began mid-October, 2012.
