In May 2020, The ASPCA announced a goal to help at least 200,000 animals through our ASPCA COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Initiative. Although we set our sights high, we knew we could achieve it through strategic programs, hard work and the support of dedicated donors and brand partners.

Our Relief and Recovery Initiative includes many channels for assisting pet owners and the animal welfare community, including millions of dollars in grant funding, free pet food at temporary distribution centers, a NYC-based hotline for animal-related inquiries, and more. We’re so pleased to announce that through our pet food distribution efforts alone, we’ve assisted more than 200,000 animals thus far.

As our work in response to the pandemic continues to evolve, we anticipate reaching thousands more animals across the country with your help. Your support of our emergency response and other lifesaving programs means the world to the pets, and people, we serve.
