STAR WARS: FORCE FOR CHANGE, an initiative from Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Studios that inspired people to make a positive impact on the world, launched a new campaign. Beginning April 5, STAR WARS: FORCE FOR CHANGE matched donations from STAR WARS fans to four select charities, including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, up to $1,000,000! This month-long campaign led up to “Star Wars Day” on May the 4th. During those four weeks, fand donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of America through CrowdRise.com/ForceForChange. Donations collected through the campaign were matched, up to $1,000,000. New incentives and prizes were announced each week, so fans were encouraged to visit the CrowdRise site regularly. All participants who donated also had a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Ireland, including Skellig Michael, the location of the dramatic final scene from STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. Fans received one entry to win for every $10 donated or fundraised on www.crowdrise.com/FFCBoysandGirlsClubs.
