Major League Soccer team Chivas USA and City of Hope joined forces in a unique diabetes awareness and wellness campaign called "Celebrate Hope." The season-long initiative aimed to raise awareness of the disease and fund diabetes research and treatment particularly in the Hispanic community. City of Hope took an active role via booths at home games and Chivas health clinics, providing the public with bilingual health information. Plans for the 2010 season are under way.
