The City of Newport partnered with delivery service Meals on Wheels on a program benefitting Newport's residents that were most at-risk of COVID-19.

The partnership consisted of Newport and Meals on Wheels collaborating to deliver free meals to at-risk residents directly to their homes. The program was available to all Aquidneck Island residents, aged 60 years or older, who had signed up for food assistance through a designated senior center.
