Sony Pictures Entertainment and the WD-40 Company teamed up to promote the theatrical release of CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS with a free movie ticket giveaway. Consumers who purchased a WD-40 brand Spot Shot product could visit spotshot.com to complete and print a registration form. They could then mail in the form with a purchase receipt for the Spot Shot product and receive an email with a code good for a $12.00 movie ticket courtesy of Hollywood Movie Money. The Spot Shot purchase must be made between September 7 and December 31, 2009 and the form and receipt must be postmarked by December 31, 2009. The promotion was supported with a national print advertising campaign with ads running in publications such as Entertainment Weekly.
