Warner Bros. partnered with the Red Cross for the film DARK SHADOWS. The Red Cross held a blood drive to raise awareness of the importance of donating blood. The Organization also held a sweepstakes for those who donated. To enter, contestants had to be present to donate blood or platelets at any participating American Red Cross blood drive or blood donation center or they could enter via mail. One Grand Prize winner was selected to receive a private screening of DARK SHADOWS for the winner and 50 guests in their hometown. The promotion ran from April 16, 2012 through May 8, 2012. DARK SHADOWS released in theaters May 11, 2012.
