Warner Bros. partnered with AT&T to promote the theatrical release of FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD. AT&T and Warner Bros. worked together to promote the movie with new content, giveaways, and more. In late October 2018, channel 1107 was launched on AT&T’s DirecTV. This video on demand channel exclusively featured the Harry Potter movies, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and short “Behind the Magic” clips. On November 14, customers in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco gained access to vouchers for advance screenings of the film. Available only through the AT&T Thanks app, these vouchers let fans see the movie early and obtain special merchandise. In November 2018, fans could visit AT&T stores in the United States to see them decorated Fantastic Beasts style. They had six posters that could unlock a behind-the-scenes video, and select locations had a Daily Prophet-themed Snapchat filter. On Nov. 14, customers in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco could redeem a voucher through the AT&T THANKS app to attend a special advanced screening in their market.
