Paramount Pictures teamed up with Matco Tools for the theatrical release of G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. Customers who purchased select Matco tools received a G.I. JOE: RETALIATION gift. Items included movie posters, dog tags, backpacks, and hats. The grand prize was an Ultimate G.I. JOE Adventure in Las Vegas: Technicians could log onto the promotion website, matcotools.com/gijoe, to become a registered user and be entered for a chance to win an all-expense-paid 5-day trip for two to Las Vegas with access to the Valley of Fire ATX Adventure Track Tour and a private indoor rock climbing experience, plus much more.The G.I. JOE Fan of the Day Ticket Giveaway involved liking Matco on Facebook and filling out an entry form for a chance to win Fan of the Day. Winners were drawn daily to receive two free tickets to see G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The last portion of the promotion included the Rate and Review Your Tool. During the sweepstakes, customers would login to the Matco Tools website and fill out a tool review form for any of their favorite Matco tools, were automatically entered to win two free tickets to the movie.The promotion began May 19, 2012. G.I. JOE: RETALIATION released in theaters June 29, 2012.
