History Channel and Ram Truck partnered for the "Stories of Horsepower" campaign. The partnership included stories centered around equestrian racing, leveraging the buzz around marquee horse races to engage History Channel viewers through compelling storytelling across linear, digital, and social platforms.
One branded vignette featured “Forged in Fire” host Will Willis taking a ride in the new Ram 1500. Willis details what it takes to forge the best blades in the business, and the narrated story integrated Ram branding and messaging about the all-new Ram 1500.
The native executions made up a short-form series thematically tied to horse racing. “Stories of Horsepower” shared the side of the race that is not normally seen on TV. Each of the four executions had :30 and :90 second versions and ran on-air as well as on History Channel's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, as well as across all Ram Trucks’ platforms.
The branded and native content pieces launched in April together with “Off to the Races” quizzes for linear and social and continue through the month of June.
