Partnership:

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL and Burger King

Description:

Lucasfilms and Burger King teamed up to promote the theatrical release of INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. The promotion featured the special edition Indy Double Whopper sandwich, the "Reveal the Secret" scratch-and-win game, the "Big Dig" online game and a series of Kids Meal toys. Players of the "Reveal the Secret" had one-in-two chance of winning, and prizes included $1 million, a 2008 Hummer H2, a trip for four to Peru from Expedia.com, free food items from BURGER KING[R], and much more. Players also used their "Reveal the Secret" game pieces to win online at www.bkindy.com. Each day, a $10,000 prize was hidden on the site, and site visitors entered the code found on their "Reveal the Secret" game piece in order to dig for the prize. Each day the $10,000 prize went uncovered, an additional $10,000 was added to the total prize. Within the first 24 hours of the game's launch, more than 75,000 codes were entered and the first $10,000 prize was awarded to a lucky winner. There was also a series of eight adventure-themed Kids Meal toys based on key scenes from all four Indiana Jones movies, as well as a Kids Meal bag printed in invisible ink. In addition, a large-scale marketing campaign included a series of television advertising spots, in-restaurant merchandising and custom packaging.
