In a charming fusion of pop culture and pantry staples, Nintendo’s Kirby and Heinz Japan have teamed up once again to release limited-edition Kirby-themed ketchup bottles—and this time, they’re bringing the iconic “Maxim Tomato” from the Kirby games to life in condiment form.
Launching across Japanese retailers in June 2025, this collaboration features three collectible 420ml ketchup bottlesstarring Kirby and Waddle Dee, cleverly integrated into playful food scenes within Heinz’s classic Keystone label. Priced at just ¥383 (~$2.65 USD), the bottles are already being dubbed must-haves by both gaming fans and collectors.
To sweeten the deal, 1,000 exclusive embroidered Kirby x Heinz keychains will be given away via a social media quiz campaign on Heinz Japan’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. These limited-run keychains feature Kirby holding the Heinz logo—an adorable nod to the brand crossover, and a high-demand collectible tying nostalgia to novelty.
By blending iconic gaming nostalgia with limited-edition product design and interactive giveaways, Heinz and HAL Laboratory continue to set the bar for how food brands can tap into pop culture in playful, creative, and fan-centric ways.
