Michaels, the largest arts and crafts retail chain in North America, partnered with Carnival Cruise Line to become their exclusive arts and crafts provider. The promotion spanned Carnival's entire fleet for guests sailing on one of the line’s 26 ships. Michaels teamed with Carnival Cruise Line to encourage the imagination and creativity of Carnival's guests of all ages.

Michaels also featured in-store classes throughout the spring of 2019 across their 1,200 stores that were Carnival Cruise Line-themed. As a result of the partnership, guests of all ages vacationing with Carnival Cruise received the chance to engage and create together through the “Make It With Michaels” experience onboard the line’s ships, featuring seasonally-changing crafts, picture frames, bracelets, key chains and more.

The partnership was celebrated with a kick-off sweepstakes that offered craft and cruise enthusiasts the chance to win one of five cruises. The sweepstakes ran from February 4 through April 30, 2019. Travellers entered on Carnival's website. The sweepstakes was open to U.S. residents, including Washington D.C., who were over the age of 21.
