The National Geographic Channel and Barnes & Noble partnered to promote the network''s DARE TO EXPLORE DVDs. With the purchase of any National Geographic Television & Film DVD at Barnes & Noble, customers received the National Geographic Channel''s DARE TO EXPLORE DVD sampler. In exchange for in-store signage and promotion fulfillment, National Geographic Channel covered all production and creative development costs and Barnes & Noble received airing of a :30 spot twice a day during the promotional period. Spots aired between August 3, 2005 through September 27, 2005.
