The Home Depot stores and homedepot.com featured the first-ever Olympic-themed national consumer promotion in over 1,500 U.S. locations. The Home Depot-OLYMPIC GAMES partnership was promoted via store circulars, in-store P.O.S., online advertising and through Home Depot products. Associate programs included country-specific co-branded pins distributed to over 350,000 associates as well as co-branded merchandise. In-store presence featured the Olympic Job Opportunities Program (OJOP) on Home Depot signage. An Olympic website highlighted The Home Depot’s Olympic partnership, consumer sweepstakes entry and background on the OJOP athletes. In the media an OJOP-themed creative aired during ceremonies throughout the games, in newspapers, and online banner ads. Public relations marketing included a 5-month media outreach campaign, a satellite media tour, and OJOP rallies and interviews.
