Partnership:

Warner Bros. Pictures and Samsung

Description:

Warner Bros. Pictures and Samsung partnered to promote the release of SUICIDE SQUAD through virtual reality content that was released to fans in advance of the film’s Aug. 5 release. At the 2016 Comic Con, fans were able to use the Samsung Gear VR headsets to enter the SUICIDE SQUAD world and watch a scene from the film.

The electronics giant encouraged fans to "Squad up with Galaxy tablets." With the purchase of a qualifying tablet, moviegoers could get two tickets to see SUICIDE SQUAD, plus a code to download or stream Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, while supplies lasted.

Samsung also co-sponsored the red carpet premiere with Carrera Eyeware in New York that was live-streamed by Twitter. Produced and hosted by BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, the live-stream featured exclusive interviews with the film's talent and red carpet commentary, with BFMP's Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld of "Try Guys" fame serving as hosts.
