Warner Bros. Pictures and PepsiCo Inc. partnered to promote the theatrical release of SUPERMAN RETURNS. Codes were printed underneath the caps of specially marked bottles of Pepsi products, marked 12 packs and fountain cups. Consumers had an opportunity to enter codes online at www.dailyplanet.com, a dedicated website for the promotion, for a chance to win instant prizes such as checks for $10, SUPERMAN RETURNS videogames and SUPERMAN RETURNS-themed toys. In addition to the instant win game, each time consumers entered a code, they were entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize of $1,000,000. The promotion began June 5, 2006 and ended July 16, 2006.
