Miramax Films and Old Navy partnered to promote the theatrical release of THE ADVENTURES OF SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL with a 'I Lava Vacation' scratcher game. One grand prize winner received $10,000 to spend on the vacation of their dreams. Other prizes included, SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL tees, Spy Kids DVDs, and discounts to Old Navy merchandise. To participate, Old Navy visitors received a scratcher which automatically announced the winner. In addition to the scratcher, Old Navy offered SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL 3-D tees for $9.50 and advertised the opening of the film which was on June 10, 2005. The scratcher game was available on Memorial day weekend between May 28-30, 2005.
