Purina Dog Chow Brand Dog Food teamed up with Paramount Pictures to promote the upcoming animated 3D film, THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN. To help celebrate Tintin`s "right-hand pup," Purina Dog Chow Brand Dog Food has launched its Facebook page for audiences around the world to contribute to real-life canine heroes with a donation of up to $150,000 to a variety of service and therapy dog organizations. When consumers visited www.facebook.com/dogchow , they had the option to "like" the page. For each consumer who "liked" the page, Purina Dog Chow Brand Dog Food donated $1, up to $150,000, split equally between three service and therapy dog organizations featured on the page. Subsequently, consumers shared the page with their friends. For each friend who visited the promotion page, an additional $1 was donated. The program ran through Jan. 3, 2012. The Adventures of Tintin opened nationwide on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Fans continued to visit the Purina Dog Chow Brand Dog Food Facebook page throughout December to discover facts about the movie, unlock puzzles, view movie trailers and exclusive content, and keep track of the donations being made by Purina Dog Chow Brand Dog Food to the service and therapy dog organizations.
