Warner Bros. and Air New Zealand partnered to promote the film THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF FIVE ARMIES with a contest, giving fans a chance to participate and win a trip for two to New Zealand to experience the conclusion to THE HOBBIT trilogy. The trip included round-trip coach airfare for two, hotel accommodations for five nights, a guided tour of selected filming location for the film, admission to a private screening of the film with director Peter Jackson, select meals and cultural activities, travel insurance, and transportation between all scheduled activities. To enter, fans had to register for the Contest App and complete a series of challenges, as well as submit a two minute video onto a social media platform with the hashtag #HobbitFanContest. Promotion dates: August 25th to September 22nd, 2014.
