Description:

Disney and Dodge partnered in a promotion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Dodge Caravan, in conjunction with the October 7 DVD release of THE LION KING: SPECIAL EDITION. Additionally, as part of the promotion Lion King characters also appeared on two Dodge Intrepid NASCAR race cars at Kansas Speedway, October 3-5, 2003; local Dodge dealers were able to use character art in-store on point-of-purchase displays, events, newspaper ads and direct mail. Disney featured Dodge Caravan materials at Disney Stores and on TV commercials. Consumers could also enter a sweepstakes to win a Caravan at Disney Stores or Disney.com. The promotion was also supported by print advertising beginning in September.
