On May 21, Verizon Wireless began bi-weekly drawings for their "The Lord of the Rings TXT2 WIN Sweepstakes." Contestants who were verizon wireless subscribers could send the text message "win" to 5687. Those who were not verizon wireless subscribers could enter by mail. The Grand prize was a Movie Lover`s Computer Package featuring a Dell Precision Workstation 650 among other prizes. In each drawing, 20 camera phones were also awarded. The grand prize drawing was held July 20, 2004.
