Electronic Arts partnered with Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament to promote the launch of THE SIMS MEDIEVAL videogame. Attendees of the launch event at Medieval Times in Buena Park, California, received free digital download codes for an early release copy of the videogame. A portion of the ticket sales from the event went to the Medieval Times Foundation Charity. The event was held on March 21 2011, and THE SIMS MEDIEVAL was released in stores March 22. Download codes were also given away randomly to show attendees at the other eight Medieval Times locations.
