TikTok and Portland Timbers

Description:

TikTok partnered with the Portland Timbers and the Portland Thorns in a jersey sponsorship deal that extends into charity and content.

The deal entailed a TikTok logo patch on both the Men's Portland Timbers jersey, as well of the Women's Portland Thorns jersey. The deal also has TikTok signage featured promiently in both clubs arenas, at local Providence Park, and also on both clubs digital platforms.

To mark the deal, both the Timbers and the Thorns made offical team accounts on the short-form video app. The teams pushed out exclusive weekly content, including highlights, reactions, interviews, and behind the scenes action. Stars of the Timbers and Thorns, including US Women's National star Crystal Dunn also put out exclusive content.

The partnership didn't stop there however, as TikTok and the Portland teams committed to the Timbers' Stand Together organization to donate a portion from each jersey sold to locla Portland non-profits.

The partnership also marked the first joint partenership between a men and womens team. The trio of brands joining forces in a partnership signaled for continued gender equality and female empowermemt in the sporting world.
