Description:
Yoo-hoo launched a national contest “Warped Speed Battle of the Unsigned Bands” to discover up-and-coming punk and ska bands. Final judging was up to consumers - visitors to the co-branded Lycos/Yoo-hoo contest page voted for their favorite “undiscovered” band after listening to audio clips. Yoo-hoo promoted the online contest through traditional media and promotions including signage at Yoo-hoo’s Warped Tour Booth and P.O.P. displays. The winning band receives $5,000 in studio time, a pressing of 1000 CDs and will be invited to play a date during the 2000 Warped Tour.
