Nintendo partnered with Southwest Airlines for the gaming console WII U. Nintendo gave away a free WII U console to every single customer on flight 1883 from New Orleans to Dallas Love Field. Mario was also present and greeted every guest and made a special announcement during the flight. Nintendo, the official video game partner of Soutwest Airlines, set up WII U Gaming Lounges in some of Southwest's most heavily trafficked airports where passengers could pass the time by playing Super Mario 3D World and other games.
