Lionsgate Entertainment and Penguin Random House teamed up to promote the theatrical release of WONDER. The partnership included the “WONDER Certified Kind Classroom” initiative, which focused on using the property to teach kindness in schools with rewards and incentives. As a part of the film’s #ChooseKind campaign, the program served as a resource for educators and distributed materials that embraced themes of empathy as part of a year-long lesson plan through curated challenges. Each challenge was associated with a high-profile reward to drive engagement, encourage classrooms to participate and give back to the film’s charity partners and earn accreditation of being a “Certified Kind Classroom” once activities were completed. The “WONDER Certified Kind Classroom” program ran from August 2017 – April 2018.
